Paradise Waves

This took a good portion of my day! I sketched out the pencil drawing of this roughly last night and decided to color it sort of 3D like just for a change. I had the urge to draw dolphins since visiting Sea World while on vacation.

The two dolphins I just invented are Aeral, the mother, and Aeolus, her son. Her mate was killed by one of the common pygmy killer whale attacks. He was the alpha of their large pod and he had been trying to protect them all, sacraficing himself. Now, the new leader, his much harsher brother, drove Aeral and her son out since he knew in under a year her son would be the rightful leader instead of him, which wasn't what he wanted. (The dolphin floating not far off is him, keeping an eye on them.) So now the two, common dolphins as they are called, roam the dangerous yet seemingly peaceful waters in search of a new pod. Two common dolphins, one common purpose: to survive.
